Give it one idea. It writes three hooks from 26 proven hook formulas, scores them, then writes the script, the text on screen and a timed beat sheet, so you know the reel works before you film it.
/ig-reply: answers your comments: the thread under your own posts
Sorts the comments under your post into keyword requests, leads, real questions, support and noise, then drafts replies in that order, so the people most likely to buy get answered first.
/ig-profile and /ig-plan: profile and week: a score out of 100, then the week ahead
/ig-profile scores your profile against a 12 part rubric out of 100 and rewrites what lost points, fix first. /ig-plan then lays out the week: what to post, which format, when, and 10 accounts to engage with.
/ig-viral: the virality analyser: the craziest one
Finds the reels that are working in your niche right now, ranks them by how far each one beat its own account's normal views, names the hook formula and writes a swipe file you can model your next reels on. It reads public posts at human speed with you in your own browser; it never asks for your password.
/ig-comment: the switch to leave off: people can tell
This one writes comments for other people's posts. Leave it off. Comments on other accounts only help when they sound like you and say something real, and a drafted comment rarely does. Spend those minutes replying under your own posts instead.
Step by step
- Open Claude Code. The full pack runs best there, because five of the skills use small scripts that run on your own computer.
- Paste one link. Paste https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/instagram-agent-skill and write: Install this skill, then confirm /ig-reel works. The install itself takes a couple of minutes.
- Fill in your voice file. Spend ten minutes on voice.md, or send Claude three of your own reels and say: write my voice.md from these. Every skill reads it.
- Run /ig-profile first. Fix the profile before you push more people to it, then let /ig-plan lay out your first week.
- Post it yourself. Every skill ends with a copy ready block. Read it, change what does not sound like you, and post it by hand.

Does the Instagram agent skill post for me?
No. Every skill writes a draft you copy and post yourself. Automated posting, commenting or DMs through browser tools break Instagram's terms and can get accounts restricted.
How do I install it?
In Claude Code, paste the GitHub link and ask Claude to install the skill and confirm /ig-reel works. You can also clone the repo and copy the skills folder yourself.
What are the 26 hook formulas?
A set of proven opening patterns for short videos, stored in the skill's hooks.json with a template, an example and how each one gets ruined. /ig-reel uses them to write and score three hooks per idea.
Which skill should I leave off?
/ig-comment, which writes comments for other people's posts. Generic comments hurt more than they help, so write those yourself and use /ig-reply for your own posts.
